Planoly app walkthrough

If you’re ready to start using Planoly to curate the most attractive feed for your blog or business, but aren’t familiar with the app’s interface, this post is for you! I’ve downloaded Planoly and connected it to my Instagram to give you a quick and simple walk through of how to navigate the app.

Let’s Start

This is your Planoly homepage. There are tools across the bottom and in the top left, and right, corners of the screen; these tools help you curate your feed and streamline its content. I will be explaining what each of these tools are for.

When you first open the app, you begin on the homepage. From the homepage, you can view your current Instagram posts, posts that you have scheduled to be posted, and posts that have not yet been scheduled to be posted (you can toggle between these 3 categories in the bar above your first row of photos).

If you want to add a new photo to your Planoly grid/library,  press the plus button in the middle of the menu at the bottom of the screen.

Once you upload your photo, it will appear as the first post in your grid. To schedule it, tap the photo and it will open up to a screen where you can type your caption. Once your satisfied with your caption, tap the slider next to the word “schedule” and another menu will appear that will allow you to schedule the date and time of when you want your photo to be posted

Going back to the homepage, if you tap the calendar shaped icon, it will bring you to your calendar. This is where you can see all of the times and dates your posts are scheduled to go live in a specific month.

Next is the icon with the stats tool. Tapping this will bring you to a page where you can view analytic data about your Instagram account and posts by the week, month, or year (you can toggle between these 3 categories in the navigation bar below “Analyze”).

The last item in the bottom menu will bring you to a page where you can upgrade your Planoly account plan, as well as access various other things like billing info, post history, other accounts, etc.

Going back to the home page, there are 2 more tools located in the top left and right corners. The tool in the top left corner brings you to your “stories” page. This is where you can plan and schedule content that you want to be uploaded to your Instagram story.

The last tool available to us brings you to your Drafts page. Here is where you can create various grids to try out new feed aesthetics/themes before implementing them in your main grid back on the homepage.

Now that you’re familiar with the interface, you can start curating and planning the most lucrative feed for your brand!
